You don't have to spend money on the little packets of oats anymore. Just put in about 1/2 of a cup of rolled oats in a bowl (extra hungry add more it's still the same amount of time) and add water just until wet and a bit tiny soupy. Not too much unless you like it watery. Then pop in the microwave for 1 min. Add your fruit or flavor and you have a healthy quick breakfast and save quite a bit at the same time.
Have you ever looked at the back of that box of instant oatmeal? Did you think it was JUST oats rolled and cut very small? So many people tell me that.
Actually the ingredient list for just the Original Instant Oats are:
Whole grain rolled oats, calcium carbonate, salt, quar gum, caramel color, reduced iron, and vitamin A palmitate.
Hmmm... That doesn't seem like just oats.
So now you know you can buy your oats cheaper and make them healthier in the same amount of time it takes to open a packet of the instant.
I hope you all enjoy your oatmeal.
Oh yea, did I mention that the oatmeal I bought was also organic for that price.
